a very blustery day

i have to laugh a little about this one. it seems that i have a few clients who always bring with them some kind of weather issue. one client always ALWAYS has to be rescheduled due to rain or cold. i think, the past spring, was the first time i didn't have to reschedule them in the almost two years i've been working with them. but my family yesterday always brings the wind. and i don't mean a little breeze. i mean W.I.N.D. but other than the wind, the weather was gorgeous!

the location to start was white point gardens. but i took only one pose there because the wind was so strong. we picked most of our locations walking down church street. the focus was on miss c, whose bat mitzvah is coming up soon. she worked the camera for sure, and even gave me a heidi klum pose or two!

this family is a lot of fun! what a great way to spend a sunday afternoon!

sullivan's island sneak peek

guess what? beach season for photography is already upon us! i got started a bit earlier than usual this year. but i can't complain. how cool is it to spend a morning in february, or march in this case, at the beach? it was a little chilly on saturday, but we managed.

mom is an old friend. and it had been awhile since i'd seen them. plus, they have a cutie pie baby sister now. she is just as adorable as the rest of them. we had a lot of fun. miss m loves to pose for me--i call her my america's next top model. and the backlighting through her gorgeous curls--love it!

i remember the first time i photographed mr. p. he wouldn't even look at me. slowly, over time, he's warmed to me and now he's just a nut. in fact, he was asking me to take more pictures of him--who'd have thought?!

finally, baby sis. isn't she a doll? grandmother bought her this hat with the cute flower. and, you'll notice that she is NOT on the sand. no. that did not go well for her. so, we went to a grassy area next to fort moultrie instead. she was much happier there. and we didn't have to worry about her eating sand!

ctcdc at magnolia plantation

don't think for a minute that i don't realize how fortunate i am. i have the best job in the world! and i am fortunate enough to work with one of the coolest preschool directors in this area. she gets me. she gets my vision. and she also shares it. i know how lucky i am.

i spent thursday and friday at magnolia plantation with ctcdc. i feel like we didn't even scratch the surface of all of the cool locations this plantation offers. the weather was unbelievably gorgeous. and the kids were as sweet as ever! thank you to sara for allowing me to go along on this journey, and for getting me.
